Do quartz countertops need to be sealed?
No. Unlike natural stone, quartz is a non-porous engineered surface made with natural quartz crystals and advanced resins. It never requires sealing, making it highly stain-resistant, anti-microbial, and virtually maintenance-free.
Can I put hot pots and pans directly on my quartz countertops?
We strongly recommend always using a trivet or hot pad. While high-quality quartz—like our American-made Cambria slabs—is heat-resistant, a sudden, extreme temperature change from a hot pan can cause thermal shock, potentially cracking the surface or discoloring the resin.
How do I clean my quartz countertops for daily use?
A soft microfiber cloth with warm water and a mild dish soap is all you need. Avoid abrasive scrubbers (like steel wool) and harsh chemical cleaners (like bleach, window cleaners, or acidic solvents), as they can permanently dull the polished finish over time.
